It’s no secret that I live for sunny and salty days spent by the ocean. More specifically, those warm afternoons where even after a fresh shower your skin is still a little salty, sweaty, and you notice freckles that hadn’t been there earlier that day. Those afternoons you’ve dreamt about while in the grocery store, so you buy an extra bottle of wine and some cheese just in case. Now those, those, are the days I live for.
This summer has been a roller coaster of misty mornings and foggy evenings with a bit of sunshine here and there, so when I saw we had a sliver of sunshine in our forecast, I knew that we had to take advantage of it. Nothing is better than laying in that warm summer afternoon sun with a good book, a good friend, and a crisp glass of Seaglass Sauvignon Blanc.
I’ve grown to love Seaglass’s Sauvignon Blanc, with it’s aromas of lemon, lime, and grapefruit. It’s the perfect balance of acidic and tart, just what you want at the end of a long warm summer day. Their grapes are harvested in a cool, coastal climate meaning a longer growing season with more time for the grapes to develop intense flavor and bright acidity.
A nuanced expression of the coast. A taste and a moment you want to savor, just like those final minutes of the sun setting over the ocean, glistening ever so lightly and beautifully on each tiny wave cap. When you’re craving one of these days, grab a basket and a bottle of Seaglass - after all, they are the days that we live for.
